Getting started

1. Allow Calendar access so today’s events can become journey landmarks.
2. Allow Location While Using the App for relevant Apple Weather conditions.
3. Choose a colour personality and Living Themes app icon.
4. Add a Living Themes widget from the normal iPhone widget gallery.

If either permission is unavailable, the app uses a clearly labelled sample journey so you can still explore the experience.

What changes automatically?

Inside the app and its widgets, Calendar events shape the trail, time moves the traveller, and live weather changes the atmosphere. Real rain and snow conditions add animated layered effects to the scene.

iOS does not allow an app to silently change the system wallpaper or the icons of unrelated apps. Wallpapers and the sixteen Organic shortcut icons are exported for you to apply manually.

Journey Mode and Apple Maps

When the next Calendar event includes a usable location, Guide me there can estimate the journey, show practical arrival-weather guidance and open Apple Maps for navigation. If an event has no location, you can enter a venue, postcode or address.

Widgets

Touch and hold the Home Screen or Lock Screen, choose to add a widget, then search for Living Themes. Available layouts include Home Screen and Lock Screen options for the journey, next landmark, weather and inspiration.

Compatibility

Living Themes is designed for iPhone models running iOS 17 or later. Calendar, Location, Apple Weather and some widget behaviour depend on the permissions and services available on the device.
